Wood-Tiles-n-Stone

After tearing out carpet, Remy sets to work. He creates a unique design using wood, tile, and stone. When it is completed, the center diamond doubles as an original design and a checkers game board. Who else could achieve such graceful play?

Terracotta tiles take on a whole new look with contrasting grout lines. Remy said with a knowing grin, "You won't believe your eyes when you see this tile with white grout." Breathless! He's right.

BBQ

Remy knows the best little BBQ place in Micanopy on SR-441. Ask him about it next time you see him. Ymmmm.....

Planning a Masterpiece

The planning process is exciting to witness. When Remy starts to get an idea, he doesn't quit until he achieves perfection.

Remy and Remy

These two are non-stop fun together. They also tile crazy good as a team. Do you see a resemblance? Of course, it's Remy I and Remy II. We're missing Remy III who will be back to Florida in the summer.

King of the mountain

Building sites are a blast, especially when you are six. Nothing is better than a mountain of sand. Run, play, and throw stuff about, Remy works in fun places.

Artistic Mud

Every step of the creative process is an opportunity to produce something lovely, to step back and admire what skilled hands can create. Here Remy delights in the design resulting from spreading mud, soon to be covered by the shower floor and forgotten forever. But until then, it lives as a testament that everything can be beautiful if you have the desire to see.

Thousands of square feet - Same Tile

When you have over 3000 square feet of the same tile, you need to let Remy tackle the job. He will not let the project become monotonous. He is an endless fount of ideas for creative possibilities to give the residential or commercial space that spark of something special.

A few pictures from a project still in process. Tiles have yet to be grouted and cleaned.

The entry way is spiced up with petite medallion designs at key points of intersection.

One living area receives the 1/4 brick stagger, just a little bit different, just a little bit wonderful.

Let Remy go wild in the master bath. He always comes up with something unique. Perhaps it is because he grew up surrounded by water that the bathing room is an inspiration for new ideas.

Close-up of the detail in the master bath shower. Each new project and every new customer is an excuse for Remy to dream up a new design. The tiles are hand-cut, and then positioned carefully one-by-one. You think it is gorgeous now? Just wait 'till it's grouted!

December Break

Remy works hard, but he also knows how to relax. When his son comes for a visit, they enjoy time together with friends and family.

A happy day kayaking and canoeing on the Santa Fe River in north Florida.

On the Gulf coast at Cedar Key, a friendly pelican looks for a hand-out.

What can beat a day of fishing. Well, perhaps deep-sea fishing is better than from the dock, but with rough seas and three eager boys, the dock will just have to do. There is big excitement over the catch of the day, even though it is only a stingray!
