Kiker Home in progress

The Kiker home is a new post-and-beam construction with interior pine tongue and groove. It presents unique decorating challenges which provide creative inspiration for Remy. The same tile is used throughout the whole house, but each room is a new opportunity for fresh design. The options generated by Remy's creative thoughts and skilled craftsmanship are endless. He experiments with special layouts for each space. Pictured above is the kitchen with an accent inset. And the boys' bedroom with a spiral that is fun and happy and gorgeous.

The bathroom begins with the thinker generating a custom design for the job.

With hand-made 4x4 tiles below the chair rail and 3x6 subway tiles above, the look is perfectly suited to the rustic construction. Notice the basket-weave on the front of the tub. Remy will use the same pattern for the floor so that it looks like the tub spills onto the floor like a wave. We love it!

The screen porch receives special loving care. A compass, oriented to magnetic coordinates graces the center of the room. The tiles for the room are the same 18x18 used throughout the house, but the look of each room is laid out in a new pattern, each tile is individually-cut to enhance the aesthetics of the space.

The legend at work, carefully positioning each piece of porcelain in just the right place, with just the right space, installed to last a lifetime.

Just a hint about working with Remy: if you give him the freedom to create his own design, the full strength of his artistry will be unleashed, and he will work his magic for you. You won't believe your eyes. You will wonder why you deserve such royal treatment. You will wonder why you deserve Remy.

The living room. Remy was contemplating what else one could do with tiles. What would happen if you cut off only one corner of the tile? This is the result. Stunning.

The transition between rooms is subtle and gorgeous with a beautiful threshold.
